Increase Our Love, Lord

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for blessing me with my husband. I am grateful to you for him. Please help us to appreciate one another more every day so that our love will grow stronger. Lord, help us to maintain the bond of our marriage even on the days when communication seems like a struggle or when arguments arise. Today I ask that You would give us an extra dose of understanding and patience for one another. Please teach us how we can better communicate with each other while still displaying loving kindness in what we say. I pray that our marriage will only continue to strengthen as we put You first in everything that we do – including submitting ourselves unto your holy word! Help me Lord, as The rib was said to be taken from Adam’s side while he slept (Gen 2:22), may I be the wife who helps build up her husband rather than tear him down. Likewise father please enable my spouse too as it is important he / she too resists tearing down efforts but instead stand by positively building up his / her marriage partner. May Your Holy Spirit guide us always along the path planned out by God before time began (Psalm 139:16). Always coming back to encouraging one another in love and sometimes seeking outside counsel when needed. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen

Remind Me Of The Good In My Husband

Dear Lord, Sometimes life gets so busy and stressful that it’s challenging for me to see the good in others, especially my marriage partner. For example, when my spouse becomes moody or distant I can easily become negative or just downright indifferent myself. Today, please help me see my husband not through human eyes but as You do. Teach us both to push past difficult days and hard times by encouraging one another and always appreciating each other’s worth. From this moment on, whenever any negative thoughts want to creep into our hearts convict us AMAP (as muc has possible) so we may replace those thoughts with reminders of the excellence present in one another. With you as our foundation let love always be how we work through conflict! Lord Jesus guide us on how to build a strong foundation brick by brick in our union!
