Empowering Prayers for Overcoming Academic Insecurities
As a student, experiencing academic insecurities can be pretty overwhelming. It’s easy to feel like you’re not good enough, that you don’t have what it takes, and that everyone else is doing better than you. Such thoughts can negatively affect your study habits and relationships with others.
Academic insecurities are prevalent among students of all levels: elementary schoolers to Ph.D. candidates. The good news is that these insecurities are surmountable through the power of prayer.
The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV), “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
Prayer has an incredible impact on our lives as Christians; it helps us connect with God who understands our fears and anxieties more than anyone else can ever do. When we pray for wisdom, strength, guidance – whatever it may be – we allow ourselves to rely on God instead of our abilities.
Here are some empowering prayers for overcoming academic insecurities:
